My path led from the discipline of martial arts to the fire of the forge. Today, I encapsulate my pursuit of perfection in the structure of forged steel.

RIGOR, FIRE, AND STEEL

My story didn't begin at the anvil, but on the mat, where error was out of the question. For over four decades, I have dedicated myself to the rigors of martial arts, striving for unattainable perfection. As a master with two black belts and a 6th Dan degree, I have learned that true mastery comes from overcoming one's own limitations and patiently surpassing what others consider impossible. These decades of discipline and the experience gained while serving in counterterrorism units have shaped in me an instinct for ruthless precision.

In martial arts, I have achieved everything there is to achieve. Today, I pour that same energy and pursuit of perfection into forging steel. The forge has become a new battlefield for me – this time for purity of form and unique design. In the fire and under the blows of the hammer, I forge not only my own Damask mosaics, but above all, the durability of character. Every knife that leaves my hands is a testament to evolution: from mastery in combat to the search for absolute beauty in metal.

At Bernard Górny Atelier, craftsmanship is a family mission. Together with my son, Krzysztof, a graphic design student and talented blacksmith, we ensure that each piece is refined down to the smallest detail – from the first hammer blow to the artistic visual documentation. I don't create utilitarian objects. I create museum pieces, encapsulating decades of experience, guaranteeing you that you hold in your hand the fruit of a life dedicated to passion and overcoming barriers.

Grand Prize Award in Italy

2025: Grand Prize (Primo Premio) – International Exhibition "Knives in Castles" (Lame pod i Castelli), Italy.

Since 2017: Regular selection and participation in the Central Europe Knives Exhibition – the most prestigious knifemaking exhibition in Poland.

2025: Individual exhibition – Rzeszów City Photography Gallery and Rzeszowskie Cellars.

2017–2021: International Biennial of Artistic Blacksmithing Hefajston (Helfsztyn Castle, Czech Republic).

2018: Anniversary exhibition of the Gdańsk Museum – Water Forge in Oliwa.

2016/2017: "Disciples of Hephaestus" – Arsenal Museum of Fortifications and Weapons, Zamość. Historical exhibition of armorer's blacksmithing.

EXPERT AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Technology Instructor: Conducting training in the shaping of mosaic Damascus steel patterns (Przywidz, Gdańsk, Rzeszów).

Armorsmithing: Demonstrating Japanese weapon forging techniques (Wojciechów, in collaboration with master K. Panas).

SPAK Seminars: Conducting lectures and forging demonstrations for the Association of Polish Blacksmith Artists.
